Did El Nino affected Malaysian animals?

El Nino is a periodic incidence where the sea surface temperatures in the pacific ocean becomes warmer, a current of warm nutrient-poor water replaces the cool nutrient-rich water within the area. This phenomenon occurs every two to seven years and last from six to twenty four months.

I had been reading several cases which may have been related to the effect from El Nino in the news. Here I list some of the cases that had been reported in the local newspapers:

1. Snakes find cooler places, 12 May 2016 - Snakes had been reported to move from close-by bushes and forests into human settlements especially schools.
